Let your computer identify your songs

If I told you that your computer could recognize songs just by listening to them you probably wouldn't believe me. If you use Tunatic though, you'll manage to do just that.

To make the application work the inbuilt microphone of your computer needs to be working or you need to have a microphone installed. Just run your media player and let the computer listen to your tracks. You'll have to click on the interrogation mark in the application window for the program to search its database. It lists the title of the song and the artist's name as soon as it finds it.

Obviously Tunatic doesn't get it right all the time, and depends hugely on the database of songs that is being maintained by the developers. It is still quite a surprising tool and can find certain songs really quickly.

Once Tunatic finds a song, it will also let you search iTunes for it, let you look for the ring tone, or search Google to find the lyrics.

Tunatic may not work all the time, but it is a really clever way of finding title's of all those unnamed songs in your library. Worth a try.

Tunatic is by far the absolute best and most accurate music ID software. I have and use song/music ID software apps; Shazam (paid not the free one) Track-ID, Music DNA and also Tunatic. I need to constantly ID many different types of music except generic top 40. Tunatic is by far the absolute best and most accurate music ID software I've ever used. Yes it does take time to ID a song and even having to reload song again to get accurate track/title info but it's much much better than Shazam, Soundhound-Midoni, Track-ID, Music DNA and any/all other music ID software out there. I know because I've tried them ALL!! If your only needing to ID top 40 pop, r&B, rap, dance, indie rock, etc then you don't need Tunatic.

Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
